SLOW COOKER CUBE STEAKS WITH GRAVY

oday I am sharing a quick and easy cube steak recipe for the slow cooker – a delicious meal to pop in the cooker when you are looking for some down home comfort food and are pressed for time. Slow Cooker Cube Steak & Gravy! Easy to adapt, a meal the whole family will love. Crock Pot Cube Steak with Gravy is one of my favorite comfort foods. I love cube steak but all that work involved when you are making country fried steak is way too much trouble and time I don’t have.

 For the cream:

1 egg

2 tablespoons flour

100g. sugar

300 ml. milk

300 gr. butter

For frosting:

100g chocolate

100g butter

STEP BY STEP RECIPE :

STEP 1/5

Mix all ingredients except flour, nuts and cocoa and melt over low heat, cook until color changes. Toast the nuts in a dry pan, grind in a coffee grinder until finely ground and combine with the flour. Take the mass for the base off the fire, add the flour, nuts and cocoa, knead the dough.

STEP 2/5

Roll out in batches, cut out equal pancakes 4 – 5 mm and bake on a floured baking sheet very quickly, a couple of minutes. Remove flour from the crusts with a dry brush.

STEP 3/5

Cream: Beat the egg with the sugar, add the flour and pour in the milk, stirring a little at a time. Cook the custard in a water bath or over a very low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens. Let cool. Then whip melted butter and add a spoonful of custard without stopping to whip. You can also replace the cream with butter: Butter-250gm 1 can of condensed milk, mix well until homogeneous.

STEP 4/5

Cream the cake and leave for a couple of hours soaking, then pour the icing on top of the cake.

STEP 5/5

Frosting. Melt chocolate with butter in a water bath and pour over the top of the cake.
