INGREDIENTS


¾ cup butter, room temperature


¼ cup shortening


1 ½ cups granulated sugar


2 eggs, room temperature


1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract


2 ½ cups all-purpose flour


1 (3.4 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding


1 teaspoon baking powder


½ teaspoon salt


INSTRUCTIONS


Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set them aside.


Using a stand mixer or hand mixer and a large bowl, cream together butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).


Beat in eggs, vanilla, and instant pudding mix.


In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, a little at a time, mixing between additions.


Finish preparing and bake according to individual directions for Soft Frosted Christmas Cookies, Hidden Kiss Cookies, Sprinkle Pudding Cookies, or Thumbprint Cookies.
