CHICKEN WINGS

Ingredients:

2 lbs chicken wings

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

1/2 cup hot sauce

1/4 cup unsalted butter

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tbsp honey (optional)

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper on both sides.

In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Dredge the wings in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

Place the wings on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and golden brown.

While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.

Stir in the hot sauce and honey (if using) and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the flavors have melded together.

Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and toss them in the sauce.

Return the wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.

Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
