Ingredients:


1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined


1 lb spicy sausage, sliced


1 yellow onion, chopped


4 cloves garlic, minced


1 red bell pepper, chopped


2 tbsp Cajun seasoning


2 tbsp olive oil


1 cup heavy cream


1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese


1/2 tsp red pepper flakes


1 lb linguine


Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions:


Cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.


In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.


Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned and crisp, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.


In the same skillet, add the onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.


Stir in the Cajun seasoning and cook for 1 minute.


Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 3 minutes.


Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Cook until the sauce has thickened, about 3 minutes.


Return the sausage to the skillet and stir to combine.


Serve the shrimp and sausage mixture over the cooked linguine.
