Orange Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:

For the Brownies:

1 cup unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp orange zest

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup fresh orange juice

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and let it cool slightly.

In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until well combined. Add the melted butter and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the orange zest, vanilla extract, and orange juice until well combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean.

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.

For the cream cheese frosting, in a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Enjoy your Orange Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting!
