South Shore Bar Pizza

South Shore Bar Pizza:

Ingredients:

For the crust:

1 cup lukewarm water

1 tsp active dry yeast

1 tsp sugar

2 1/2 cups bread flour

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp vegetable oil

For the toppings:

1 cup pizza sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or other desired toppings (optional)

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the lukewarm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture is frothy.

Add in the flour, salt, and oil, and mix everything together until the dough forms a ball. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch, and then press it into a greased 12-inch pizza pan, making sure the dough goes all the way up the sides of the pan.

Spread the pizza sauce over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges. Add your desired toppings, starting with the shredded mozzarella cheese.

Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes over the top of the pizza.

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious South Shore Bar Pizza!
