Strawberry Bread

Ingredients:

2 1/3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

1 large egg

2 tsp baking powder

2 1/8 cups flour

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 cups powdered sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup oil

2 tbsp butter, at room temperature

1 tbsp heavy cream or milk (optional)

1/2 cup milk

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients and the milk, alternating between the two, until just combined.

Gently fold in the diced strawberries.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan and placing it on a wire rack to cool completely.

While the bread is cooling, you can make a glaze by mixing the powdered sugar and heavy cream or milk (if using)

Once the bread is cool, drizzle the glaze over the top of the bread.

Serve the strawberry bread warm or at room temperature, and enjoy!

**Note: If you want your bread to be more sweet and rich you can increase the sugar quantity

**Note: If you want your bread to be more fluffy and not dense, you can increase the baking powder.

Enjoy your homemade strawberry bread!
