Cream cheese squares

This is a quick and easy recipe that everyone will love. Gooey cream cheese bars are so rich and sweet that everyone will want more.

I first learned to make them as a teenager. My cousin was older and I used to go over to her house, and we'd make gooey cream cheese slabs all the time.

There was one night we did before that we sat all night watching a meteor shower. I think we finished the whole dish that night.

I didn't want to eat anything the next day, but I really enjoyed it.

I texted her the other day for a recipe for sticky cream cheese bars and she had to find it because we used the recipe so much that her book fell apart. She had forgotten about it over the years and wanted to make it for her kids too.

These cream cheese squares are the perfect after-dinner snack or even as a dessert. They are easy to prepare, have the perfect amount of sweetness, and taste absolutely delicious.

Mix cake mix, eggs and butter until well combined.

Create a layer of cake by pressing cake mixture into a greased 9" x 13" pan.

Combine the powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and stir until the mixture is creamy and smooth.

On top of the cake mix, spread the cream cheese and frosting mix.

Put it in the oven and cook for 35 minutes. The next step is to cool completely before cutting into squares.
