Fried shrimp

This fried shrimp dish is a Southern dish that can be served as an appetizer or main course. It is easy to prepare, crunchy, delicious and full of flavour. The jumbo prawns are first dredged in flour, then eggs and finally panko bread crumbs before being fried to golden perfection! It's the perfect ingredient to impress whether you're entertaining people at a party or looking for a light and delicious dinner!

Appetizers that are easy to make, don't take much time and have a lot of flavor are my favourites.

The preparation time for this fried shrimp is only ten minutes before it is cooked in cooking oil. You can enjoy them as a satisfying snack by dipping them into a tasty dip, or you can serve them as part of a full family meal by mixing them with your favorite fried side dishes.

You'll only need a few basic pantry items to get started. If you already have frozen shrimp in your freezer, you can use these instead; However, before covering it, you must make sure that it is well thawed.

*Ingredients list:

°1 pound. Peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp.

°Half a cup. All-purpose flour.

°Half a teaspoon of salt and black pepper.

°A teaspoon of Cajun seasoning.

°2 large eggs, at room temperature.

°1 1/2 cups. Panko bread crumbs.

°1 cup cooking oil.

*To prepare:

Step 1:

Combine the flour, salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning in a medium mixing bowl or shallow dish, using a whisk. Cajun season may also be use.

The second step:

In a separate bowl (or plate), whisk the eggs well until well blended. Spread panko bread crumbs in bottom of third mixing bowl.

Step 3:

To prepare shrimp, coat both sides in the flour mixture, then shake off the excess. Next, the prawns are covered with the egg mixture, and dipped in it.

The fourth step:

To finish coating the prawns with panko breadcrumbs on each side, turn the prawns over and press the breadcrumbs down each side of the prawns.

Fifth step:

To cook the shrimp, heat the oil in a large saucepan to 350°F (175°C) and fry the shrimp in small batches for about 1 minute, or until completely opaque. Be careful not to stack the shrimp while frying.

Sixth step:

To remove each shrimp, use kitchen tongs, and place them, one at a time, on a cooling rack set over a paper towel-lined plate. Continue in the same way with the rest of the prawns.

Enjoy !
