So how do you achieve sparkling oven vents with this easy kitchen hack?

Let's cut to the chase and explain exactly what you need to do to restore your oven vents to cleanliness! All you need are two simple ingredients, which you probably already have in your kitchen, saving you a trip to the store!

**Here's what you'll need to clean those oven vents:

°Water - enough to fill half of the pot

°1 cup of baking soda - not too expensive, a cheap one will do, too!

°Large Soup Pot - Make sure your vents fit snugly

°Kitchen scissors tweezers

That's all we can say about it! You will be amazed at how quick and easy this method is once you see it in action.

Start by filling the large pot halfway with water.

We've all seen an endless amount of easy kitchen hacks on Pinterest and to be honest, a lot of them don't work as promised. My oven vents were so much more than that. I've already tried cleaning it several times by scrubbing it and putting it in the dishwasher, to no avail.

Look how mean they were. We bake a lot, and the amount of grease trapped in those oven vents is insane! raw! Not only is the mess dirty and greasy, but so are the metal rims. The before and after photo speaks for itself. What an incredible difference. They are literally completely new!

Then, when the water boils, add 1 cup of baking soda. Stir the baking soda and water mixture for a few seconds, then turn off the heat, take a pair of tongs and kitchen scissors, and place the oven holes in the mixture.

Leave it on for about a minute until you start to see all the gunk go away! It happens quickly so you can get on with the rest of your cleaning tasks around the house - or sit back and enjoy a nice glass of wine and relax - take your pick 🙂 You can start right away to see how quickly it starts cleaning your oven

++Note: I decided to turn off the flame and let them sit in the mix as the water would create a foamy layer and start to rise to the top. You don't want it to overflow, so be careful.

Look how clean they are now! Even grease on the metal rims is sparkle clean!

Once you see the oven vents are clean, you can safely take the entire pan to the sink and drain the water. Make sure to use pliers to pull the holes out and rinse with cold water for a minute.

Now I have clean oven vents & can clean them whenever they get without even breaking a sweat!

I held one up to the light so you could see the shimmering oven holes now!

This kitchen hack saves you money, too. From now on, you no longer need to replace your oven slots!

Now that my vents are completely clean, it's time to clean the rest of the oven's vent as well--ugh!
