Alice Springs Outback Chicken Steakhouse

This Alice Springs chicken recipe is one of Outback Steakhouse's popular menu items. The dish is name after town Alice Springs in northern Australia. 


And while people go out in backcountry for steak, this juicy, flavorful chicken will give any steakhouse a run for their money!


*ingredients:


4 boneless chicken breasts


Half a cup of mustard


6 slices of bacon


Half a cup of honey


2 teaspoons dried onion flakes


1 cup sliced mushrooms


* Methods :


Step 1


The second step

First, sprinkle the chicken with salt and knead it. Covering it and put it in fridge for 30 min.


Step 3

While chicken is in the refrigerator, cook the bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside. * Do not scrape grease. *


Step 4

Fry chicken in bacon grease for 3-5 minutes per side or until golden brown. Place the chicken in a 9x13 inch skillet or skillet.


Fifth step

To make the honey mustard: In a small bowl, combine the mustard, honey, mayonnaise and dried onion flakes.


Step 6

Spread a little honey mustard on each piece of chicken, then cover with a layer of mushrooms, crumbled bacon and grated cheese.


Step 7

Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and chicken is cooked through.


Step 8

Serve with the rest of the honey mustard sauce you have prepared.
