Best cake I've tasted so far. This recipe is so simple too! Need to make twice as much next time!

Have you ever baked with mayo? Yes, mayo! I know, it sounds a bit unusual, but it's the secret ingredient that gives this Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake its unbeatable moistness and depth of flavor. This recipe trended back in the day when mayo was the new kid on the pantry shelf, and it's making a delicious comeback!

Whether you're devouring a slice solo or pairing it with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream or a cloud of whipped cream, this cake delivers on all counts. Fancy a coffee break? This cake's rich taste pairs beautifully with a steaming cup of joe or an ice-cold glass of milk.

Let's Bake!

Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake Recipe:

Ingredients:

2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup mayo

1 cup lukewarm water

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

Get that oven warm at 350°F (175°C) and give a casserole dish a good greasing.

Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, and cocoa in a bowl.

Time to introduce the stars: vanilla, mayo, and lukewarm water. Stir them in until your batter is silky smooth.

Off into the dish your batter goes!

Bake until a toothpick's grand entrance in the center comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes.

Patience! Let it cool a tad in the dish, then shift it to a wire rack to cool down fully.

To frost or not to frost? Your call!

Optional Frosting (because who says no to more yumminess?):

Ingredients:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1.25 cups sugar

1/3 cup milk

1/3 cup butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

How-to:

Mix milk, butter, and sugar in a saucepan and get it boiling for 45 seconds.

Now, off the heat and in go the chocolate chips and vanilla. Stir till glossy and go wild with your cake!

Happy baking, folks! Indulge and enjoy every chocolaty bite! 🍫🍰
