My Amish neighbor brought this over, and in moments, no crumbs were left

The warm allure of Amish Cinnamon Bread has made it a treasured delicacy across time. Originating from the heart of Amish communities, this sweet bread, infused with the cozy scent of cinnamon, has journeyed through generations to grace our tables. Perfect for breakfast, a brunch gathering, or a simple afternoon delight, its soft texture and aromatic flavor are irresistible.

While it's a treat by itself, you can elevate its allure:

Spread some creamy butter for a velvety touch.

Accompany with a steamy cup of coffee or tea, harmonizing with the bread's cinnamon notes.

Or, for a lavish dessert, pair it with vanilla ice cream and a caramel drizzle, merging warmth and chill.

Amish Cinnamon Bread Recipe:

Ingredients:

Flour: 4 cups

Eggs: 2

Buttermilk: 2 cups

Butter (softened): 1 cup

Sugar: 2 cups

Baking soda: 2 tsp

Cinnamon Sugar Mixture:

Sugar: 2/3 cup

Cinnamon: 2 tsp

Steps:

Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9x5-inch loaf pans.

Combine butter, sugar, and eggs into a creamy mix. Progressively add buttermilk, flour, and baking soda.

Pour half of this batter equally into the pans.

Stir together the cinnamon sugar ingredients. Sprinkle most of it (3/4) over the batter in pans.

Layer with the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.

Create swirls using a knife.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, checking readiness with a toothpick.

Allow it to cool in the pan before serving.
