Basic Cheese Pizza Recipe


Here is a basic recipe for making a delicious cheese pizza at home:


1 lb (450 g) pizza dough

1/4 cup (60 ml) tomato sauce

1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp (5 g) dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

Olive oil, for brushing


Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness.

Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.

Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt, and pepper over the sauce.

Brush the edges of the dough with a little olive oil.

Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
