Heaven on Earth Cake

 



Heaven on Earth Cake is a delicious and indulgent dessert that is perfect for any special occasion. It is a layered cake that consists of a moist and fluffy vanilla or chocolate cake, topped with a rich and creamy frosting, and is often decorated with fresh fruits or chocolate shavings. This recipe can be adjusted to your taste, you can use different kind of fruits, nuts or chocolate.


Ingredients:


For the cake:


2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup milk

For the frosting:


1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

4 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

3-4 tbsp heavy cream or milk

For decoration:


Fresh fruits (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.)

Chocolate shavings


Instructions:


Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients and the milk, alternating between the two, until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.

Bake the cakes for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing them from the pans and placing them on a wire rack to cool completely.

While the cakes are cooling, prepare the frosting. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until light and fluffy. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough heavy cream or milk to reach the desired consistency.

Once the cakes have cooled, place one of the cakes on a serving plate or cake stand. Spread a layer of frosting over the top of the cake, then top with the second cake.

Use the remaining frosting to cover the top and sides of the cake
