classic chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients:

2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

3/4 cup white granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, white granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Mix in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the centers are set.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve and enjoy your delicious classic chocolate chip cookies!

These cookies are perfect for any occasion, whether you’re sharing them with friends, bringing them to a potluck, or just enjoying them with a glass of milk on a cozy evening at home.
